The Playcentre is an opportunity for your child to:
- learn to play in a relaxed and stimulating environment
- learn to socialise with the other children
- continue to develop self-esteem, confidence, co-operation and independence in a group situation
- further develop language, motor skills and creative talents
Where is Possums situated?
At the Taroona Community Hall, Batchelor Way in Taroona.
When are the sessions held?
Sessions are held during school term time:
- Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in Terms 1 and 2
- Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in Term 3
- from 9.00am to 12.00 noon
What costs are involved?
- Fees are $20.00 per session, payable a term in advance.
- A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to secure your enrolment. This will be deducted from your fees on commencement.
- There is a 25% discount for a second child attending regular booked sessions.
- Excursions are held once a term and an extra fee usually applies to cover transport or other excursion costs.
- Possums Playcentre is a registered Childcare provider with the Family Assistance Office so some families may be eligible for a rebate.
How old does my child need to be?
Possums caters for 3-5 year olds:
- Children must be 3 years old before they can attend.
- Once they turn three they can start at any time during the year, providing there is a place available.
