June 20 LANTERNS Find out about the night sky and the winter solstice. Make a lantern for the night to use at Winter Solstice Celebration at Taroona Park -Sunday June 26th at 5 p.m.
June 27 LETS GET ACTIVE Have fun with learning movement skills to help with participating in physical activities. Practise catching, kicking, throwing, bouncing, rolling balls and balloons. Try jumping, leaping, hopping, sliding, galloping and running.
July 4 LETS GET ACTIVE More movement skills. Find out about the Women's World Cup Soccer and learn some soccer skills. Play indoor soccer games, make your own ball and design a soccer top.
July 11 LETS GET ACTIVE Movement games - scarf juggling and catching, aim and throw games, basketball bounce, balloon volleyball. Make up a movement game to share with your family.

MOUNTAINS What is a mountain? Have you climbed a mountain? What is the highest mountain in the world? What do mountain climbers use to reach the top? Make a mountain from craft materials. Learn some mountain songs.
July 25 MOUNTAINS How was Mt Wellington formed? Find out about volcanoes. Make a volcano and experiment with making it erupt! Excursion to top of Mt Wellington on Monday July 25th.
Aug 1 MOUNTAINS Find out about snow covered mountains. Why do mountains have snow? Use plaster and clay to create mountains. What animals and plants live in the mountains?
Aug 8 FROGS Learn some interesting frog facts. Make paper frogs and tadpoles. Create different patterned frogs. Number games with frogs.
Aug 15 FROGS Make different shades of green and experiment with painting frogs using water colours and oil paints. Sing some wonderful frog songs.
Aug 22 ONE WORLD, MANY STORIES The Theme for 2011 Book Week is One World, Many Stories. Enjoy listening to stories from around the world and some of the stories on the short list for Book of the Year. Create a story and illustrate it using collage materials.
Aug 29 CARD MAKING Paper craft activities - try some easy origami creations. Make a card for Father's day. Use stamps, stickers and collage to create a variety of cards - write on your card and post it to family or a friend.
